This container was made by the community of Santa Rosa in Yucatán, and is made with ancestral knowledge of sewing henequen.
Henequén is considered the “green gold” of Yucatán, it is a fiber obtained from the agave. For this container, henequen fibers are sewn together to form a soft and resistant material. This container manages to transport this technique that was born in the workshops of the artisans of the Yucatan Peninsula to decorative pieces of contemporary life.
