The Pepenado Sack is woven on a backstrap loom by artisans from San Pablito in the state of Puebla and hand-embroidered with ecru wool thread, it has a fringe finish using the same basting pepenado technique. The loom is smooth and black, however the embroidery is ecru, made with the linear embroidery technique with elements of nature and other traditional elements, typical of the worldview of the master artisans of Naupan in the state of Puebla. The piece is a wardrobe staple with a straight cut and ¾ sleeves.
