Amatenango, Chiapas

To make their pieces, the artisans and artisans of Amatenango collect the mud themselves in the mountains on the edge of their town. Mixing them with sand, they obtain different colors and textures. This circular candle holder for four candles by artisans from Tsoontajal, who collectively elaborated the designs, takes up aesthetic elements of their traditional craftsmanship, which is inspired by nature and their daily life.
This piece was made under concepts of collective creation between the artisans of the Tsoontajal Artisans group and NGO Impacto.

Care: This piece filters the water, do not use liquids in it. Clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
