The Jícara Infinito, made by the Taller Saint Phalle, is an example of the Maque Incrustado, a technique originating from Uruapan, Michoacán. This technique, of pre-Hispanic origin, uses earth and natural pigments cooked with linseed or chia oil, applied to wooden objects or gourds. The Jícara Infinito fuses tradition with contemporary graphics, highlighting the ornaments painted in a circle that give it its name. The pieces do not contain heavy metals nor are they toxic or polluting.
Care: To preserve the shine, it can be cleaned with oil or furniture wax, using colorless products.
