Wild coffee blanket

San Juan Colorado, Oaxaca

Wild white cotton blanket woven on a backstrap loom with coyuchi cotton brocade, a cotton that grows in that color in the coastal region of Oaxaca. The strip with "pineapple" designs is arranged at the bottom of the blanket as a decoration throughout the white fabric. They are two unique canvases, joined by a randa with the same hand-spun coyuche cotton, with knotted fringes at the ends. It should be hand washed with soap and water, do not allow to dry in the sun.
