Machine-embroidered cushion cover with the technique known as “chain” by the Guelaze group of artisans , from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in Oaxaca. This piece belongs to a collection of cushions inspired by the patios of the artisans' houses, which are places full of life, hope and new beginnings. Graphic abstractions were developed from and resulted in this piece, made with a linen base embroidered with cotton.

Taller LU ́UM is an interior design and industrial design office that functions as the “economic arm” of LU ́UM AC Through collaborative design, we generate income for more than 13 groups of artisans, as well as small specialized trade workshops in CDMX and surroundings.
All of our interior design projects promote design that cares where things come from, agreeing fair payment for the work done by our artisans with Fair Trade standards. We generate perfect traceability, and above all we promote Mexican materials and techniques, as well as a contemporary and current design.
