Tlapehuala, Guerrero
The braiding technique in Guerrero has been carried out for more than 30 years and Tlapehuala is no exception. The making of this fine braid is done using spirals with pieces on the machine, which makes this fabric the finest and most moldable in the area. Its most representative piece is the Calentano hat.
In the design process led by the Zaavia Allied Organization and the designer Paloma Romero, a resignification of the hat applied in different pieces and products is carried out. In this case, flat oval tablecloths have been created. The palm application measures 24 cm long by 7 cm wide. The piece is complemented on the front with wine-colored cowhide, made by leather workers in CDMX, and has a 9 cm diameter Huanacaxtle tropical wood ring. It closes and adjusts with pegs on both sides. The piece presents differentiated characteristics in color and measurements for the limited edition of Ensamble Artesano. Care : Clean with a damp cloth, avoid getting wet and store in dry, cool places.

Craft technique: Natural fibers
Measurements: 75 cm maximum length (waist), 8 cm wide (widest part of palm), 9 cm diameter ring
Material: Cowhide and palm
