Grecas double bedspread

Quilt woven with mercerized cotton on a pedal loom in the center of the city of Oaxaca. It has carved frets where thread by thread is counted to have the thickness desired by the artisan weaver. This technique is rarely seen in this type of table linen and symbolizes the fretwork that appears on the facades of the Mitla pyramids in the same state. Contains a pair of pillowcases made with the same technique.
