Amatenango, Chiapas

To make their pieces, the artisans and artisans of Amatenango collect the mud themselves in the mountains on the edge of their town. Mixing them with sand, they obtain different colors and textures. This tray from the group of artisans from Tsoontajal, who collectively elaborated the designs, takes up aesthetic elements of their traditional crafts, which are inspired by nature and their daily life.
This piece has two versions, one in raw color and the other with drawn details, being elaborated under concepts of collective creation between the artisans of the Artesanos de Tsoontajal group and NGO Impacto.

Care: This piece filters the water, do not use liquids in it. Clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
